Excellent reception staff, very helpful. It was nice to be known by name by one of them. Good breakfast buffet. Large rooms. Location excellent for train station and not too far from Grote Markt/old town. Modern bathroom which was very clean, room furniture in good condition.
It was in desperate need of refurbishing. My first room had a fridge that was not working and felt so hot as to be dangerous so I unplugged it. The carpet had quite a few bits on it so either it had not been vacuumed or more likely the bag needed replacing or the vacuum had reached end of life. I asked to be moved. Next room had no way of locking the balcony and so was not secure, plus only one of the four small bathroom lights were working. Final room I decided to stay in - working fridge, new bathroom, but extremely grotty carpet and corridor outside. None of the three rooms had a working safe and there were various non-functioning appliances being stored in them. None of the rooms felt like they were "superior". Entrance hard to find.

Ope, staying here was a real treat! The room was super spacious with a comfy double bed. The kitchenette made it easy to whip up some snacks, and I loved that all the utensils were included. Plus, the location was prime, just a quick walk to Central Station and plenty of cute cafes nearby. A few more touch-ups in cleaning could really boost this place, though!

When we checked in, only one of our two rooms was ready and we had to wait over an hour for the second room. The condition of the rooms felt a bit tired, with several maintenance issues like loose light switches and a malfunctioning air conditioner. Cleaning could be improved, as I noticed some areas, such as the fridge and certain furniture, hadn't been properly maintained.

As a family with two daughters who want to go on a shopping spree, the Mondo Hotel is a perfect location. You step out and walk right on to the Keyserlei.
Due to the roadworks going on and traffic directions being changed, finding the hotel was somewhat of a challenge. Check the city website for the latest updates on the roadworks as your navigation system wont be of any help!

Large rooms, good location, reception 24 hours, good breakfast
The hotel is actually called Mondo Antwerp City. We have been walking in circles, looking for a sign as the City Centre

great location but some minor inconveniences
The location is superb for exploring, situated just a short walk from public transport and lively areas. The room was well-appointed, with a lovely balcony that added charm to our stay. We enjoyed the comfortable bed that ensured restful nights, and the rooftop patio offered fine views of the surroundings.
The bathroom design poses some challenges, as the walk-in shower tended to flood the floor after use, making it tricky to navigate.

The indoor parking place next to the hotel is not safe. Our car was broken in to. More cars were opened on the same night, according to the police.

We loved the friendly staff and spacious rooms, and the kitchenette was perfect for preparing meals. Don't miss the café in the lobby. The scent of fresh coffee is good!
The bathroom design was a bit of a hassle. The walk-in shower flooded the whole floor after use, tricky to maneuver.

The hotel is situated in a not very busy side street very close to Antwerp Central Station. It is easy to get into the city and shopping areas on foot, or just take the nearby sub/tramway. The hotel is nicely renovated.
The room was not *really* clean; there were some hairs in the bathroom. Also, the plug in the basin did not work; water did not run through unless you opened it with your hands which is uncomfortable and feels dirty. The plug in the bath tub on the other hand, leaked. One of the bed lights was defect. Also, when we arrived the room was 27+ degrees C. We notified hotel staff the next morning, they assured they would mend these things. When we returned in the evening, the hotel room was at a more comfortable 20 degrees; but all other stuff, including the light which would have been really easy to fix, was still broken.

The breakfast was comprehensive and excellent with lots of delicacies. The location was comfortable for walking around a large well - defined zoo.
